Greetz to one and all
Nice to see a site given over to slot-related things!
On a personal note: been slotting for many years, my dad bought me a set (Set 40!!) when I was about 6 months old 
My son got his first set when he was 1 year old - hey - what goes around, comes around, right?
I dabbled for a number of years with a railway layout - hence the forum name 'Ratio' - I loved the detail on their kits
I abandoned that when my son was born - needed the room! - and, as he grew eventually went back to my 'first love' of slot cars.
A few years ago after much nagging from my son, I put together a 'fixed' Scalextric/SCX layout in the spare bedroom but this has not been made permanent with scenery etc.
Until now.
