carrera digital cars compatible with scalextric digital?

hi. im very new to slot cars, althought prob like everyone here used to have scalextrics as a kid. have bought a large analouge scalextrics set with the plan to convert to digital in the very near future. could someone please confirm wether or not carrera digital cars are compatible with scalextrics digital? many thanks, Chris

The Carrera digital system is not compatible with scalextrics. In fact none of the Digital systems are complatible with each other. The carrera cars however can be manually converted with scalextric digital chips if you remove the carrera ones (if fitted)
